Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath...

Biking in Ohio

Part of the Ohio to Erie Trail, the 85-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath offers biking, hiking, jogging, horseback riding, and historical exhibits. Between Cleveland and Akron, the towpath is the main trail through Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The total Canalway runs 85 miles from Cleveland to Bolivar, OH and is a National Heritage Area - by creating a link from Lake Erie to the Ohio River the canal was an important part of transportation history.
