Seattle
Reported: Sept. 2017
Seattle is considered one of the most bike-friendly cities, with a Bicycle Master Plan working to build a safe environment for biking. There are bike trails, bike paths and bike lanes everywhere (400 miles), though some roads can be quite busy and the city has many hills. A Neighborhood Greenways program has been established for residential streets with low car volume. In North Seattle, the Burke-Gilman Trail (20 miles) connects to the Sammamish River Trail at Bothell. (Detailed map and photos below.)
